Bought our boat here six months ago and decided to stay. The staff here couldn't be more friendly or helpful and the Boaters Bar is brilliant (sadly, we don't get to use it as often as we'd like) and gives the place a nice sense of community. OK, parking can sometimes be difficult but they work hard to resolve this by introducing permits, opening up grass areas etc. Facilities are good with diesel, water, pump-out and shore power. Berths are not too tight and are sensibly laid out. We had been on the Great Ouse for nearly 30 years, mostly in a family-run marina, so we were a bit nervous about moving to the Thames and to a big commercial marina. We needn't have worried - very happy here.
Very beautiful spot. Really kind and helpful staff. Highly recommend this, very positive experience.

Desperate to buy a domestic water pump after failure on our boat. Guided on to dock, and 2 young and cheerful fitters had the job done in an hour. First class service.
We always go to Better Boating when we are on the Thames, cheapest fuel around and a really interesting curio shop too

I use this à lot with my boat. Good price on diesel. They have experienced engineers when faced with technical issues. They undertake a quality pump-out and they sell bottled gas. The owners, Gordon & Anne are always very accommodating.
Easy to deal with very friendly and competent staff. Great day out on the river

A very interesting park as you have the old and the new together in one park and grounds. This is a nice place to sit and relax, plenty of benches here. The old gates as you walk in i found very interesting because is shows life and and time gone by, so many people would have passed through those gates over the years. The lion statue is beautiful and very big. a very interesting park to visit.
One very lovely park. It is amazing for relaxing, sunbathing and reading books. Lovely green grass. In the sunny weekends is really busy. Strongly recommend it.

Great place for a nice walk or park to take the kids. Lovely river side view. Clean and tidy with decent parking
Lovely park close to town center and with a superb view and character. Very clean and friendly. Car parks are available - either the one at the park entrance or local ones close to the park - like Reading Central. It is linked to the riverside and you can get to TVP as well in a continous walk. This is an amazing park.

An awesome garden to wander around. It's incredibly beautiful, and very well kept. It has a great variety of plants, woods, and open space. You can very easily spend an afternoon wandering through the garden. I couldn't believe a haven like this could exist tucked away like this on campus. You have to visit, and it's well worth a number of repeat visits; it's a place I never get bored of.
My favourite park in Reading, so peaceful and a great place to picnic or read a book! Love it in spring when the blossom is out. Can park on campus during weekends and evenings.

A traditional real pub with a range of beer, cider and mead. No food. Beards are not compulsory but recommended 😉 Occasionally visited by Morris Dancers but not often enough to be offputting. Use of mobile phones discouraged - the staff want people to talk to each other. 😵 There is a small main bar area and some even smaller nooks to sit in. Famous collection of beer mats all over the walls and ceiling.
Really great atmosphere with very cosy seating. Got a homely but beer feel. Definitely will be a place to visit on my next trip to Reading.
